The Seals Cup got underway today with a group stage clash between the Obaro Warriors (History) and Dentistry at the Awo Stadium.
The match kicked off at exactly 1:00 p.m., with both sides easing into the game. Dentistry took the lead in the first half through a direct free kick.
Dentistry maintained their advantage as the first half ended 1–0, following their earlier goal from a set piece.
In the second half, Dentistry scored again from another free kick to make it 2–0.
History continued to push forward but were unable to break through. Their frustrations showed late in the game, as Kenzo was shown a red card just a minute before full time.
The match ended 2–0, with Dentistry taking all three points in the opening group stage fixture.
The Obaro Warriors will look to improve in their next game as they begin their campaign on a losing note.
